Piano Recital, May 24, 2011

This is a test. Can you sit through three videos and 12-ish minutes of piano playing? I bet only a grandma and maybe a few aunts can do it. Take the test, if you think you can complete. (I won’t know if you really watched them all.)

Thank you for watching the kids. I have to confess I am very pleased with how they played. I hope you enjoyed it too.

I believe Edward could have used a belly dancer for the first song, but probably would have been tough to fit into the vibe of the recital. :-) Go Edward! You rock man!

Helen and Claire- So much improvement from 2 Christmases ago! Glad to be able to hear you both from so far away.

  3. Stephanie and Marcus says:

We made it! Most impressive, Helen, Claire, and Eddie.

I did it! Count me in as a finisher for the piano recital! Actually it was quite good. I look at Edward and I see my son in a few years…yikes. Hopefully I can get him to sit down at a piano. Claire had very nice concentration and picked some great tunes. Helen’s playing was BEAUTIFUL! I only hope they know what a gift (among many) that God has blessed them with and they will keep it up! Nice job guys! Good job to you too Eddie for slipping in the rest of the family!

I took the challenge Ed! I listened to all the piano pieces. They are all brilliant children. I recognized their pieces and Helen played one of my favorite theme songs from the movie Somewhere in Time. I adored Eddie’s smile each time he finished, relief maybe? Claire, I sang along to Tomorrow and Yellow Bird. I used to play Yellow Bird on my guitar with the calypso strum. FABULOUS!
